The spike in use of drug store weight loss tablets is cause for concern for parents as rates of drug related deaths continue to grow.
Over the counter fat burners are unfortunately becoming common practice among a wide range of age groups and sex. This growing trend is of a well placed concern for the FDA and nutrition groups. The main reason for concern is the addition of Ephedrine within the pills. Ephedrine is dangerous because it can cause a spike in heart rate, which will lead to problems with the heart as well as can sometimes lead to death.
A few things being done by concerned citizens to do in an effort to deter people from purchasing these pills include plans for a healthy diet as well as education about the dangerous ingredients used in the product. A challenge these people face in combating the use is that the fact that the fat burners are now being used by a much wider range of the population and it is no longer only young females. The government agency’s will have to focus efforts to stop the addiction of these pills, but it may be too late to stop altogether.
