The continued rise in use of herbal weight loss pills is cause for great concern for parents as rates of drug related deaths continue to grow.
Over the counter fat burners are despite government efforts fast becoming common among groups in almost every age range and there is also less separation between the sexes. The growth in sales of these products is of a growing concern for family members of the people who abuse them as well as government health agency’s. The reason people are concerned is the addition of Ephedrine in the product. The reason that Ephedrine is a dangerous product is because it causes the heart rate to rise, which can lead to heart problems or can sometimes lead to instant death.
A few things being done by concerned citizens to do in order to convince people from keeping their addictions to these pills will include coaching for good nutrition habits as well as education about the dangerous ingredients used in the product. A challenge these interest groups face in curbing the consumption would have to be the fact that the fat burners are now being used by a much wider range of the population and it is no longer only young females. There will continue to be efforts to stop the consumption of these pills, but it will be a lot of work and they will need as much help as they can get.
